It should be in escrow with YOUR attorney or title company, not theirs - because I'll bet that theirs is a complete fabrication. 

They tried everything, but only one thing kept it going.Their argument was so simple (their attorney came up with it, their argument was all "made up of whole cloth" (fabricated) but is so simple, I can't reveal what it is or the courts would be flooded with other scammers.

Granted as stated in certain markets and Neds is one of them  Wholesaling is very much a part of the fabric of those transactions in those areas were there are more doors than butts to put in them..
