I went into analysis-paralysis looking at market after market.

It can also be costly paying someone for the gas since constant braking and going with 3-point turns, u-turns, etc really does use up so much more gas than you think than driving on a highway or how most people normally would.

I think you're pretty lucky in that, while your wife may not understand REI and doesn't care to, she also hasn't put the brakes on your ability to move forward.  

After marketing the last three months without a deal I think I'm almost forced into wholesaling now.

If this were a car, I'd want someone to say "Don't forget to kick the tires, look under the hood, check the speedometer, check the dipstick, drive it, see if it pulls to one side while driving, slam on the brakes at 25 miles an hour" etc. etc.

Still made enough after marketing, sales, contact negotiations, prep, etc. for like $2,000 profit shared between partner and myself. 

It is really unique looking in person and runs great after a chip and after market x pipe.  

I actually consider myself pretty lucky to find my deal after marketing for just 6 months and not surprised to hear you only received 1 call from 100 letters, keep at it and be consistent and eventually something will come along.
