Look for straight ridge at roof, straight level floors, no piles of “sawdust” or wings from termites.  

The roof tile was all new but we couldn't justify the expense to tear out the 1870's era 4x12 slightly sagging ridge beam.

Also, all of those Denver neighborhoods are still reasonably affordable relative to other Denver neighborhoods, so you can still make the numbers work on a house hack.Outside of Denver, but still close by, the cities of Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton.

Though STRs arent anything new around here they do seem to congregate around the few areas that can actually demand them (i.e. the hospital, mission ridge, leavensworth, etc) and not just anywhere like some bigger cities.

The property is right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Roanoke Va.

We just moved from Oak Ridge to Knoxville.
