The thermostat is in the dining/living room, as are old-style standup radiators that seem to be very effective.

The two 1/1 units shared a single thermostat, located in the cellar.

I installed programmable thermostats from Chicago Controls which have a maximum heat setting of 71 degrees and revert back to 68 degrees every three hours.
