Just Don flashing windows and doors

Another piece of tape is put along the top, covering the nail flange, and overlapping the two side pieces. The idea is this: if any water gets behind the siding from above, it will run down the house wrap, over the metal tape into the window channel, down the side of the window, and down the felt to the plastic house wrap, where it runs down the house. the felt under the window, without tape, will allow any condesation to run out below the window without damaging the framing. The space between the window and the frame on the tops and sides is then spray foamed from the inside for insulation.Hope this helped.
