This shows the importance of networking locally, building your connections and your "tribe". 

I'm attending local meetups too when my work schedule permits, but I want to do even more. 

That's a lot more to chew on than most non-locals want to deal with, but for those of us here, there are good opportunities to be had.

Leverage equity, explore house hacking, and continue learning through books, podcasts, and local networking to refine your strategy.
