It is even more challenging without a large sphere of influence but it is not impossible.

Realistically there are other factors which influence this (like interest rates, which obviously cannot go any lower).

I have helped a few people so far (Uk and Canada), non-citizens and have learned that the issue is not really the TK provider - at least not when it comes to the investment.The issues foreigners are facing are mainly in the area of financing (to take full advantage of the leverage and currently low-interest rates), corporate structure, as well as some TK provider behavior.On the financing and corporate structure, I was able to develop relationships I make available to my mentoring clients so we can overcome these hurdles, even though it takes some time and effort.On the TK behavior, it is harder because we all don't have much influence.

This is an opportunity I really don't want to mess up because I know whatever I choose now will greatly influence what comes after.

I've personally achieved growth from Dale Carnegie's book "How To Win Friends and Influence People" and choose to revisit the teachings at least once per year. 

It's a great shame to the reputation of BiggerPockets someone like Joe, with a glaring lack of financial and investment acumen, can present himself as a knowledgeable person, post over 10,000 times, and influence others' decisions.

You will learn so much about people skills, and you will realize how much influence you have on how a given interaction pans out.
