Over the course of a year my wife and I fixed it up, rented to friends, ate peanut butter and jelly, did everything we could.

I'm a retired AF guy and also retired DIA, so the proximity to the Navy base for amenities is nice too.

Also we have a basic (very basic) design we are trying to work with for now but aside from home depot prices ate too much.

Items to consider;1) chances are the limits of insurance the seller is carrying ate lower than what your new loan will require.2) Insurance premiums are up 10-15% year over year with increase building costs and inflation.
