I'm just continuing to read, listen to podcasts (before Bigger Pockets I started listening to "STR Success Stories" with Julian Sage and I highly recommend to learn more about STR), watch youtube videos cold call agents/properties/anyone who will respond and do deal analysis.I see the most common advice is to really start networking so I'm posting A) to connect with any other folks in NYC B) to ask for any suggestions for meet-ups/networking opportunities in the city.

Perhaps you could provide some sage advice to the other realtors on site with less experience dealing with foreclosures, REOs, etc . . .

However, that leaves me (the seller) with a very small bidding pool, (and if I'm right) I don't like small bidding pools as a seller.Nickerson is considered the sage of sound advice, but in today's world, how do you execute Step 1 with so many distressed properties out there?

I realize that "make more money" is not sage level wisdom or advice, but it's going to help everything.

Most of the interviews include some degree of their "how I started" journey and a lot of sage advice that will help you learn from others mistakes.

As I said, I'm also new, so I am not able to give sage advice, but we may find ourselves working together somewhere along the line, and it may be good to bounce ideas and things we learn as we are learning about real estate investment.
