I am an attorney whose primary focus is real estate, immigration, and business law.

I come from an EXTREMELY poor family, immigrants from Guyana.

I've found that there are only a small handful of people that will seem to truly grasp these concepts, and that immigrants or people that closely resemble my set of life circumstances (so they can relate directly to me) tend to be particularly receptive for some reason. 

Also, there are too many variables with immigration reform which is making foreign nationals uneasy. 

For example, if you are in an area where people are very private and have "trespassers will be shot signs" they may not take kindly to solicitors (which is what you are as a cold caller / door knocker).

The area is kind of fading from a jobs and immigration standpoint, but rents and property prices still seem to be surprisingly high.I've not dug much into the commercial market in Bloomington yet, but man the residential market here has been crazy this spring.

Is the state experiencing a change in immigration/emigration?

I have seen this here in AZ with what are likely illegal immigrants.

Not to go too much into detail, and to bore you - although if you are still reading my autobiography that I posted here, something about me must be interesting or you're already bored - I'm a first generation American, as my parents immigrated here when I was very young.
