Today while looking at a property in a questionable part of the city, I came across a house that had a security camera mounted to the top of the HVAC unit outside.

Even a good inspection will not necessarily tell you that the sewer line going to the street will suddenly get clogged... at cost anywhere between $4k-$6k in my area (though running a camera through the line could mitigate that risk).As you get more rentals, the law of averages start working in your favor as long as you always have enough to cover one big expense if it ever happens.

It makes sense as the security went up, security cameras, rents went up and solid citizens came in as customers.

The act of taking out a camera and snaping a pic is the same number if steps as scanning a QR code.It may also be a matter of habit.  

I am not talking hidden cameras everywhere, just a single camera at the front door to monitor who is at the property working.

Question: are any of those shows like " Flip or Flop" any good when it comes to education, or are those people only there to look good and entertain in front of the camera?

I watched an episode of "Flip or Flop" last night where they had 3 break-ins in ~30 days - one of which was after installing security cameras and putting up signage.
