Full construction costs I dont always get relayed to me by the developer, but we were significantly lower than even 1 million on the LS. 

In my REI the majority of the millionaires were in some kind of construction or brokerage.

What they showed is that the small changes to the property over time did not have anything to do with the second unit the home had and it was always constructed and used as a 2 family.

Just make sure the builder’s risk policy is in place while the property is vacant and under construction to protect your investment.

@Jim Bouchard agreed with everyone just normal wear and tear, it happens. we just leased a brand new construction home and they've had like 4 things we've had to send someone out for (luckily all under warranty), but sometimes that stuff just happens.

@Sandee SampsonA construction attorney would be who to contact but you are going to spend a lot more than $7000 in getting this resolved against a builder.Also let’s say you win, the courts could also say you didn’t pay for a retaining wall which is needed so it’s a betterment to the property so you would still need to pay for the wall and they would be responsible for some soil etc.
