My experience has been that the school you go to does not really matter that much in getting a job as long as its accredited and you really make an effort to learn as much as possible .At the company I work for, there are engineers who have similar jobs and similar pay, some have went to Ivy League schools and have 100k+ of student loans and others went to public school and have no loans.

Once it turns into a full time business (Property Manager, MultiFamily, Broker), you're better off going through the accreditation process and getting direct access to credit reports.It's a lot more convenient and makes a lot more sense to do real time screening once you have a signed paper or electronic application.

The 2% rule is great to get no doubt however it is not an accepted investment criteria that is taught at any of the thousands of accredited universities and colleges much less found in any text book.
