It's all so not uncommon for the identity thief to file for bankruptcy in the name of their victim.

Your CPA would likely be the best person to discuss this with as there is some gray area to figure out what's reasonable compensation, and how to allocate best between the two.

They're a LOT of work for very little compensation, which might explain why you're not getting the attention you deserve from your agent, if in fact, that really is the case.  

What systems do you have in place for compensation for your agents that bring good deals?

The implied value of that is not 0, so when the sales contract contemplates them, it does not feel unreasonable to seek compensation.
