Avery Carl - what thermostat do you use?

You want to know if it is discharging, because it should never discharge unless it goes bad, the thermostat goes bad, your house prv goes bad, or your expansion tank goes bad.

They said they thought it was a problem with the older thermostat.  

The previous owner set up the thermostat in the common area of the basement.Now I'll have three flats all with shared heating and one thermostat.

You can install locked/programmable thermostats and include penalties in your lease for abuse ($25 fine per occurrence of a window open more that 5 minutes when the heat is one etc...)Hope this helps.

He doesn't even need to connect them all which is great, the electrician comes and wires all of them to a thermostat and thats it.

Because they have a thermostatic element that adjusts the water temperature you may notice some temperature variation, especially depending on what other fixtures are being used in the house.

The electrical fixtures all worked, with the exception of the A/C thermostat.

Most long-term tenants don't require assistance more than a few times a year, say for a running toilet or help to reset the thermostat.
