Just kidding, but really, I did get to go to Germany.

We currently own a condo in Newbury Park, CA and a 4 plex in Germany.

I come from germany and dont knows some verbalisms.

And we even have folks from other countries (Uwe from Germany comes to mind, but there are others).But anybody posting a question should certainly state the location where the property is located.

So yes, you can buy here, next to Germany, and have the tenants pay you a net monthly rent of some 1 - 2 % of the purchase price.

An acquaintance recently bought a condo in Berlin, Germany with a 1.3% mortgage interest rate (to my amazement), so that's also appealing, although the city just approved a 5-year rent freeze. 

@Peter Grosso Peter, I have no specific experience with german banks but having bought property internationally before I have to assume that a german bank would likely only give you a mortgage for property in Germany or the euro zone.

Im aiming for Germany multi family properties and that in it self is a challenge.

Does anyone has experience in investing in Duisburg, Germany or surroundings (Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn)?

Also, last week rumors were flying that bailing out Italy would cost France it's AAA rating and even Germany eventually.
