I worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for almost 20 years, I know for certain it should not take a full 10 business days to clear.

The downside is that it does take it 5 business days to get me the money so instead of the 1st, I typically get it on the 6th or 7th.

Everyone else waits 3-4 business days for a check mailed by the bank after I use online bill pay.
