Fair Housing doesn't address this directly but ADA does and I'm comfortable applying the same principal since they are both federal programs dealing with disabilities.

One was that there was a significant cost to make the units ADA compliant because I would have to make doorways and bathrooms larger for wheel chairs and the other was I tried to contact the list of agencies provided with the course and I hit a dead end on that after sending letters written exactly like a template provided with the course and I never received one response.

I was the designated ADA Coordinator for the hospital and served as the hospital representative on a community wide committee for " Emergency Preparedness for People with Disabilities and the Elderly" where we promoted how to shelter in place in the event of a natural disaster.

If you do not become familiar with disability law and reasonable accommodation, you will be at risk of stepping on a land mine.As the former ADA/504 coordinator for a major medical center and a former advisory committee member for a disability services agency, I do have some knowledge in this arena.
