I'd like to get into the RE Wholesaling business but most of the software, courses or books out there are get-rich-quick scams.

The trick is convincing the seller to wait a few months for their payoff, and also convince them that you're not trying to scam them (for people not involved in real estate, this can sound complicated) -- but if you can get the seller to agree, it's obviously a great position for the investor.I'm actually in the process of negotiating with a private seller using a seller financing/holdback...this may be another great strategy to try with this seller...Thanks Brian!

P.O. boxes or no address at all can lead people to think you're a fly-by-night operation or a scam.

I figure my time is better spent learning something new, or learning more about something I'm already familiar with.Some of the real estate shows I listen to are:- Real Estate Today- The Real Estate Guys Radio Show- The Real Estate Investor Show (aka Lifestyles Unlimited)- The Norris Group Real Estate Radio ShowI also listen to the following shows, though they're primary focus is not so much on real estate:- The Clark Howard Show (a great all-around show with advice on investing, travelling, consumer news and scam alerts, etc)- The Dave Ramsey Show (primarily focuses on getting out of debt - I don't agree with some of what he says, but a lot of it does make sense)- My Power Podcast (features various motivational speakers such as Zig Ziglar, Napolean Hill, Dale Carnegie, etc)I'm sure there are lots of others out there, but these are all at the top of my list.

Of course, there's also the Nigerians, but they're easy to spot due to the badly written proposals that usually come with offers of 2% financing, lol.I don't know how people fall for these scams, but like anything, there are people who are so desperate for money that they'll unfortunately take a chance on the slim-to-none option versus no option at all.

There's a lot of scams out there and there seem to be more these days targeting overseas buyers and investors.

The other 50% of the reviews cried out about how they had been taken by this loan mod company for thousands of dollars and that the whole thing was a total scam.

That would have been my first hint they were a scam.
