I've dealt with that twice with people I served with in the Navy and they were some of the most morale draining people we ever dealt with.

So, is the moral of this story that optimists might have less truth, but might be happier and more successful?

They were sort of morality tales for young boys, to encourage them to work hard and save, and that by doing this they would become rich important business leaders some day.
