Maybe things will get better in the next 6-8 years, but anyone who accurately predicted where we are now back in 2004-2006 was called an idiot.Lots of folks managed to do the property ladder during the boom.

And I assume they're paying a PM to manage it as well.Granted these numbers probably aren't as bad as some of the #s from the boom period, but I was surprised that the buyer didn't at least try to negotiate more on the purchase price, especially since it was on the market as an REO for months.

These factors all work to drive price way, way, down.. especially in areas particularly susceptible to boom/bust cycles (see CA,NV,AZ,FL).The majority of the problem in this "mini-boom" is again supply, except this time it is the artificially LOW supply of homes.

Big movements all over the place with people jumping into the "hot sector" with our want it now society.Before the dot com boom of the late 90's / early 2000's a 150-200 point swing in the dow wasn't a common occurrence.
