When you add up the lost wages, travel, lodging, lost rent and the cost to pay us to fix what they did incorrectly, they turn their $3,000 job into a $20,000 job.Literally every year for the last decade I've seen at least 1-2 guys do this.

@Chris Wilburn$1,800 for a 2/1 in the Arbor lodge is very competitive.

If we paid someone else for lodging during this contract it would simply be a business travel lodging expense.

If you’re confident they aren’t presenting your offers, I would go directly to the broker, regional manager, whoever is responsible to the agent, and lodge your complaint.

My question is, if I can read most of the information given at sessions, and network with people in my region, or social media, what is the benefit of taking 3-4 days off work and spending a couple grand (entrance, flight, food, lodging)? 

Are you talking about the Lodging Tax/TOT (Transit Occupancy Tax) ?

I believe this is partly because there are several large all-inclusive chain resorts in Playa featuring properties with 800+ rooms, whereas the hotels in Tulum’s hotel zone are boutique "eco-lodges" with a lower room density.

1st, good tenant, didn't want to ditch but only option for me was either evict (at Christmas) or figure out temporary lodging.

I sold the Ashford Lodge & other properties and Packwood and Ranier as STR's, and think those markets are just undervalued and under-discovered enough to have a good run of appreciation and increased rents ahead of them.

Think like a ski lodge...its a 6000 sq ft home.
