I am a housewife, although I graduated as a medical doctor, but neither my husband (also a doctor, guatemalan) or myself could start working in the US right away. 

Listening to ppl talk about RE, job transfer, school, housewife preferences.....trendsZone into your target area: once you identify your area, you research it so that you know what is a good deal (price, location, even history)keep a data log in your head or on paper, so if you see a listing pop up you can get a feel on whether is the deal is solid or not... then you can call your agent to let you in... do COMPS and stuff (but you should be able to "know" the numbers by then, it's more of a confirmation)hope that helps

I am struggling to keep my own motivation up because of all I have on my plate between balancing home life because I am a housewife, recently had a baby (7 months now), working on 2 other income generating businesses and taking care of my sick mom in law.

I would also add that as long as 1 of the 2 in a married couple is a "Real Estate Professional" then that qualify the whole return as a "Real Estate Professional" generally I see this make sense where 1 of married couple is employed full time and the 2nd is a house-wife or unemployed.  

It's the 4th, or 5th, or 6th one that the housewife buys from."

But I was obviously not in College and the house wife's of the day ( remember this is late 60S) would get a smile and then let me show them our catalog and so on and so forth..

````````````````````````````````````````````````Regarding divorce attorneys, many times people cannot afford to stay in the house wife where the husband, and many times is very little equity, so you might be able to buy the house on "subject to" or a wrap or to a lease option assignment. 

Of course you could have mitigated most of this by a simple 48 hour notice to enter after first letter and verified what was going on in the house by 'inspecting' the house.But the majority of posters are correct, ignore her until she starts coming around, she might be a bored housewife too, just looking for a bees nest to poke at.
