Anything short of full retail value seems like tax evasion.

Could I pay myself rent or would that be like tax evasion or something?

Don't pay in cash, you have no recourse, and if you have a contractor that is okay with tax evasion.. what else is he okay with?

Actually if you think about how many drug dealers have gone to jail on tax evasion and not drug charges it's pretty funny.

On the court docs, I saw charges of tax evasion that were settled a couple of years back.

We just put an eviction notice on one tenant's door because she hasn't paid rent this month and has been super evasive about it.

If you are thinking of going the tax evasion route of having them setup corps you may also want to know that a corporation is required to file a corporate return every year and their are $195 per month late filing penalties that will apply to missed or late returns. 

That's not to be evasive as there are a handful of angles to approach.1) That doesn't fit my criteria, but that's neither here nor there - does it fit yours?

The contract would be proof of your conspiracy to commit tax evasion.
