The stately brick home with white shutters and a matching white picket fence fantasy home is still with us, but some people are reconsidering the notion that owning a home is part of the American Dream.

I thought about it many times and even have my picket sign which I put in anytime I got around my rentals.

The stair risers & wall (I installed beside the staircase), are sanded & stained $2.49/piece Cedar dog ear fence pickets from HD.

We are currently in a 1890 sqft  home in picket fences.

If you set steel posts, it is very easy to come back and re-rail and re-picket the fence...especially with a nail gun.

A couple flower beds maybe, some ornamental bushes/trees/plants, mulch to bring contrast, maybe even a very short picket fence if it fits well.
