For people doing DADU strategy - how are you handling partial releases?

In working on construction loan financing, the lender informed me I'll need to unencumber that portion of the property (makes sense) before closing on the construction loan.I understand there to be two methods generally speaking: refinancing my mortgage and removing that portion of the property in the process OR attaining a partial release from the lender to remove that land.I *strongly* want to avoid refinancing as I have an amazing rate, but partial releases seem complex and also require a survey.

Again, assuming you are looking at groups that do larger deals, there is almost always a press release and it will note who the buyer and/or seller is.

Think about it: most of them are able-bodied adults who choose to live (mostly) free off the backs of others rather than contribute to society.Rent payments are usually steady, but Section 8 tenants took a lot more work upfront, throughout their tenancy and at the end of their tenancy.

One day several weeks after close, they sent me an "invoice" via email with no body, just an attachment with a jumble of line items - It included one of the two items they were getting a quote for me on (new flooring), some but not all of the items they were supposed to fix as part of the contract (with prices even though they were paying), and a few other items I was not familiar with.
