I've not looked at what I could get for rent ahead of time, like you have, but it's a large apartment with 1 bedroom, 2 other rooms (office plus bonus room, etc) plus a brand new open concept kitchen, with its own separate entrance and garage access. 

But , remember you are NOT buying a brand new house .

Leveraging social media by using a key strategy (personalized to your brand, goals, and target audience) is an excellent way to generate more leads & close more deals!

You could get new construction with your VA loan and when you move on in a year or so, have a virtually brand new home that will be very little upkeep to maintain when you put tenants in there and typically, you will get higher rents in a newer construction home. 

My Rental Schedule E would show rental income, expenses such as tax, insurance, repairs, etc and property management. 

I am brand new and interested in my first foray into real estate investing.

Just one example to get your juices flowing:Assume a house costs $200,000 and rents for $1,500.
