I'd like to learn about how to move up the housing "progression".I just recently got married, and my wife and child live with me in a small 2-bedroom apartment with a monthly rent of $740.

Adding a walk in closet to to lower bedroom that will most likely be a guest bedroom or a child's room, wont do anything for the salability or marketablity of the property.With a home of this size you want to sell life style and comfort more than anything else.

It's hard to dedicate the time needed to do so with my first child and work but if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Is it a child "rich"" neighborhood,  or more couples with no kids?

Is a live in child care provider also something you might see in this area?  

The brokerage gets constant notices for non compliance from your real estate commission ( IRS bank levies on agents commissions checks for back taxes, license suspension for student loan delinquencies, suspension for back child support owed, loss of license for not paying renewal fees, inactive license  for not completing CE credits on time, etc.)3.

Also , I was not comfortable when this last contractor brought in his 14 year old kid to do tile work as it might be a violation of child labor laws in Maryland, not sure.

BECAUSE that would be child abuse, somebody would have to dispose of it and no one has time.I NEED to buy a house with a huge garage to live in myself and they are all beating me over the head saying you cant buy one more house. 

@George P.who is responsible if the tenants does not pay Phone Bill and Child Support...Also based on your reasoning, they should go after the Bank as well....
