not an easy situation , i would just have a talk that you feel bad , you allowed him time to mourn , but you can't really do this . you will help him try and find a smaller 1 bedroom , or studio and will be happy to work with him . tell him you and him have a great relationship and you don't want it to sour because of this . i think once a person falls behind , 90% will continue the downward spiral .

@joe @Joe Fairless I am really AV challenged when it comes to computers and there is probably a better solution but you can use Total Recorder http://www.totalrecorder.com to capture the audio in mp3 while you play the video (having a program that directly exports the audio to an mp3 is certainly a better solution but I don't know any).

If you're looking to buy and hold I believe you'll definitely see a return.When I first move to SF, I lived in an in-law (studio) with kitchenette and paid 1100 for it.
