Thank you @Brandon Walason I'm  a native new yorker interested in property all over the world just some locations can be more expensive;but you just have to lookfor the deals a little harder.

I think at this point, I'm looking into advertising with a local deal finder magazine (I'm not sure they have these everywhere, but I could explain what it is if need be.)  

Dave, my wife and I are both former New Yorkers.

My wife (business partner) and I are headed to DFW Texas to look at SFR's tomorrow.We are New Yorkers looking for an ideal buy and hold property.

New Yorker's.  

You will never catch me building a house out of a magazine at a supermarket, only one off high design modern homes.

Look in local magazines that advertise homes and look for which Realtors have the most listings in your area on Zillow or other marketing sites.

But I've done my homework and post signs on the streets, call magazines ( the flyer ) to post an ad, I keep in contact with real estate agents to see if they know of motivated sellers that are willing to work with me, and all these without any luck.
