Ideally you're hitting those areas with it when they are exposed (prior to covering or painting).Another thing you can do that will help while you're gone is to buy one of those ozone generators from amazon (under $100) and let that run overnight and ideally for multiple consecutive days when you're away.

It's a long term strategy, not an overnight one, but has been very rewarding so far!

Some are staying in a man camp. 

You didn't get into this position overnight and you won't get out of it overnight either. 

It sucks watching thousands of dollars disappear over night, but they'll be back in time and then some.

Then I just camp out there until the property I'm looking for pops up.My market analysis is based on criteria from my REI plan, which tells me what property profile I'm looking for. 

I also lived in camp lake for a short time.
