There are some breaker panels which have a history of malfunction and instances of fire ... your insurance provider would likely encourage you to replace them.Finally, if you are upgrading/modernizing the electrical in the building, the existing panel(s) may have insufficient capacity: you may need/want to upgrade the entrance size and/or may need to add more circuits than the panel supports.

The reason I don't like this, is that if a payment does not go through because of insufficient funds, I won't know until day 5; So I will be 5 days behind at giving my late notice, and if they submit another payment, I won't know for another 5 days.

I contacted the builder since the home is still under warranty, and they sent out a foundation surveyor yesterday and his report stated that we have a foundation issue due to insufficient drainage of the property.
