I want someone who is running a legit business and will invoice me and not just send me a Venmo request. 

It's a full service banking platform - just like you'd have at any other bank with interest bearing accounts, the ability to set up multiple accounts and sub-accounts, issue virtual credit cards and more.

STRs have platforms that do much of the heavy lifting to advertise your unit once you've set everything up.

The new owners got serious about monetizing the platform and it has progressed accordingly.

because it seems with most other sms platforms there is a per sms fee, however i cant find anything about a per message fee for lc!
