The current mayor of Chicago when he was still on the Obama staff once told a meeting of bankers that one of the goals of the Obama administration was to force the consolidation of all banks (through regulation) until there were only 10 very large banks left.I have no idea which "certain consultant" Dave is referring to but I would personally love to see Dodd-Frank and the SAFE Act disappear.

But I'm not worried about a crash, it just is probably a bit of consolidation and normal seasonal slowing at the end of summer.  

Were trying to consolidate to 4 loans now instead of the 40 plus.  

We also like to pay off properties early, by consolidating debt on a few properties and holding the others free an clear.If so why and what have you found to be the result?

They were purchased by Hitachi in 2002 and the consolidation of the business is still going on. 

Combining exchanges like this is called consolidation.  

It was basically book on practicing law, as opposed to something like the consolidated laws which can be harder to understand.Next time I am in the area I will get the title and update, but remember this was specific to Pa.

There are a lot of smart and successful investors who advise selling a number of smaller properties and consolidating to larger properties for economies of scale, which makes sense.  

Or you can sell several small properties and "consolidate" into fewer more expensive properties.
