In my case, my neighborhood's deed restriction committee dropped the hammer on my little operation. :(  From my experience, HOAs that mention restricting STR will enforce that rule, and yes they have all the authority to do so.

The location will determine whether there are restrictions due to historical overlays, HOAs, hillside, etc. and depending on whether the property is located in the city or county's jurisdiction, the number of hoops you will have to jump through will vary.Worst-case, you are looking at approximately two years but if historical committees are involved then I can't say.Is it possible to build new construction in Pasadena?
