If you can access all/virtually all of the plumbing, you can either patch the bad spot or if the plumbing is old and dilapidated you'd be changing it anyway so it won't matter.

Or it could be water from another source like the sink or shower, but that's less likely because it would have to travel to that spot and then run through.I'm sure your plumber will have no problem identifying the source and fixing it.
