I doubt you’d qualify for a mortgage in Texas while on a gap year since you are just getting credit now and won’t have any income to show a bank.Spend some time listening to as many podcasts and reading books about real estate while trying to save as much as possible to help you get started.

Read your mortgage paperwork for the due on sale clause. 

With SFR, they appreciated at a national average of 3.8% from the last study that I read in 2024.

I don't need a professional property manager to send a text which reads: You accepted the condition of the premises at lease signing as-is and acknowledged the condition as acceptable.

The meters are read electronically with 3g and you get great reporting in their water scope platform.

Recommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.
