Chris Soignier What your are proposing would fry your IRA as well as that of your friend.There can be no direct or indirect benefit from an IRA to a disqualified party.  

And a range hood can mean the differnence between smelling that fried fish for hours, or for days.

For example, HD sells a 1.5 inch plastic P trap for around $2.50.
