The neighborhood has boarded-up houses and couches in vacant lots, and I questioned my own sanity but bought it anyway.

I don't mind paying for education, but I don't want to be sunk before I even get started, and I'm having a really hard time getting off the couch so to speak. 

Now I sleep on the couch while her, the dog, and the cat take the bed.

I’ve sat on the couch for the past 10 years and read book after book on real estate, spent 10 years in banking watching everyone from developers to section 8 land lords make deals, and am ready to do something about it.

They just slept on the floor, next to a dog, or on a couch after they fell out. 

Is it worth it to sell or rent the property furnished (couches, tables, portraits, etc.) to the new owners or tenants? 

That's how you get off couch to learn and build wealth.

That is unless you just want to help the guy out and don't worry about money, then let him crash on your couch for a week or two to mentally reboot and find a good tenant for your rental. 

As I was sitting on my couch I realized that 3 blocks away from where I live, Calgary's luxury auto mall has rapidly sprung up over the past few years.
