I buy homes as a primary residence with 5% down and move into them keeping my previous as a rental and the area that I live doesn't have new builds that would work for us, otherwise I would buy a new build. 

I grew up north of San Francisco and then moved to live and invest in Reno, NV.

As I will move to Oregon I thought it might be a good idea to put into an LLC. 

I would never move back to Canada.

So in my mind it would be best used as a last move into a REIT you never sell.  

But with three partners and one looking to move into the property it will probably be complicated.

I have been listening to the podcasts for years and have finally gotten serious about making this move to better my families situation. 

Then I p;an to move out and find another project.I am excited to join the forums and learn from the vast wealth of knowledge on here, as well as (hopefully) benefit the community with some of my own learnings.Look forward to the journey.Franklin

Will take a while to move to another low cost country.  

A lot of clients I work with in NY invest here because it's one of the hottest real estate markets in the US and has some of the best macroeconomics - population growth, job growth, and companies moving and developing here.
