Was looking at projections today based on rate cut cycles and chances are we could see rates drop into the high 4's/low 5's in the next couple of years on average (that's based on previous cycles and a decreasing spread between the 10yr and mortgage rates).

You could also call a couple of contractors on the phone and get rough sqft pricing from them for roofing, siding,  painting etc. like how much the averages costs are per square (100 square feet) and square foot .

They told me that both options would last around the same amount of time (apparently they have a 14 year lifespan on average nowadays) and they give a 10 year parts warranty, so might as well go with the cheaper option.
