I've been in the lending Industry for 20 years, and I feel many people on BiggerPockets give misleading information a lot of times.

Most negative comments come from competitors, those nitpicking minor issues, or people who haven’t worked with the company at all.

Think about it, why do people do Airbnb........make more money, however they have higher vacancy rates, and more management required.

The people listed below have been all over BP and can provide great information

Ok so a diff path then my previous post.I also wanted to invest in real estate but just assume( and bet is probably true) that most of the people that find truly good investments have  either or all of the following the most "average joes" don't:1.

People investing in Indianapolis have a far different strategy than people investing in SF. 

There have been numerous people on BP talking about how they paid application fees but they could never get their loans closed on any deal brought to the company.

Also--similar to apps like Facebook and Twitter--I can almost guarantee that a larger pool of people would seamlessly utilize their phones to vote/like and comment on the forums. 

So many people come in and are looking for a spreadsheet to estimate for them and they don't understand the basics of what numbers they are inputting.
