I'm currently in the process of wrapping up a 40 home two-storey development in Santa Barbara.

Even though I dislike tile for my own spaces (and Santa Barbara and CA is all about the tile), I've seen some good-looking installs of the wood like tile planks in both commercial and residential..

They seem to forget that while the Los Angeles basin is pretty much a toilet, San Diego, Monterey, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Temecula, Palm Springs do in fact exist...California was very good to me and continues to be good to me, month after month.
