I keep hearing that Ogden and the surrounding areas are hard to flip because of higher purchase prices and buyers won't pay for expensive updates.I've come across a couple great finds in either Central Ogden or West Ogden that make me nervous about trying to flip due to the surrounding homes' deterioration. 

This cuts back on roommate infighting because someone doesn't have their share and limits property deterioration.

I'm no expert in the Houston market, but to me, today it has a bit of that sort of feel to it, though perhaps not to the same extent ... the fundamentals appear to have been deteriorating a bit, then you get a supply shock from the Hurricane which will bump prices and rents, but that effect is likely to be short lived. 

The basement was finished about 15 years ago, but since it has deteriorated quickly with poor work done.

The elements/weather causes more deterioration to a unit than if it were indoors.
