But it really gets serious with how you handle showings, your application, how you conduct tenant screening, credit / background checks and your communication style throughout all of this.

Since you're moving in soon, having face-to-face conversations can establish a personal connection and show your commitment to fair and clear communication.

The biggest issue is that you'll be representing yourself, which means you are emotionally involved.
