My next step is to pull up the info on the county auditor website and then try to touch base with the owners of said properties.

This might lead to a sticky situation upon audit or examination, particularly if the three year statute has lapsed but the six year has not.

If it's a single person LLC it's really easy to do yourself on your state auditor site.

I have heard of it being done by going to your county auditors office and looking the property up.
