It's definitely harder to fill units in Cleveland during the winter, but not impossible.

Hi bp I've been flipping homes here in Northern California and see market is self correcting/winter coming. so have been looking over the forum finding great stuff but wanted to reach out and see where people have rentals at and what they recommend buying?

I am certainly considering that as a possibility. especially given how close it is to winter.

Last winter, I dipped my toes into the waters of real estate.

When I have to rent a unit in the fall/winter, I just let the renter know that I prefer leases to end in the spring/summer, and ask them if they’re ok with a bit shorter lease.

And in Iowa, possibly in winter, that is a big deal.

I'm not crazy with the idea of a lawsuit but I can't have my furnace sitting in water, especially with winter right around the corner.

I have a snowplow service set up for the winter, but I have been cutting the grass on my own this summer so that is something they could possibly take over.  

If that's the case in the winter a huge negative.
