Show up to your local lender's office with transcripts and something showing your job description/responsibilities/duties in-hand.In my area, we call this the "Tech Wizard Special" because the CompSci guys go from being starving college students to $250k/yr working for Google overnight, but often without a long-established credit history and only a few months on the job.

Everyone raves about Tech Terrace and the area near campus but the houses are so expensive that your return decreases really fast.

The demand for a corporate rental is a different conversation which is subject to local business, but two things here:1)  If the property is located in an area where only a handful of businesses would likely require its use, you are a lot more sensitive to local market pressures/economics compared to a place that is close, proximity wise, to not only multiples businesses which could demand your property but also multiple industries (Ie: tech, hospitals, finance, etc). 

Tech money is changing a lot of things up there and I'm pretty positive it will also happen in SoCal.

@Erie Springer GE is totally gone and the Berkshires, especially central and northern, are trying with some initial successes to reinvent themselves as a haven for arts and hi-tech.

I lived in Indy, and I know for a fact the city is growing well due to the arising Tech companies.

Lots of tech going into the Plano area.Regarding taxes, there a ton of resources online to get good info. 

Hey everyone,There is this property that I am looking at and its not in a particularly nice area, however it is 2 blocks of downtown and a major tech employer in Raleigh.

If you're tech savvy you can put that info together yourself and identify some good leads.
