I figured the military investing category is a good one to post my experience. 

I’m currently stationed in Camp Pendleton looking for other military members who are interested in investing in Texas, and will possibly be heading back to a Texas soon.

Many know that the Civil Relief Act permits active duty military to break a lease when they recieve orders or depart from service.

I am away for military training, but will be back in Nashville in July. 

I know the guy can afford it because he is paying the same price now in a worse location, plus he gets a monthly pension from the military which easily covers his rent. 

Background information, we're transitioning out of the military and moving back to the Minneapolis area. 

Hello BP,    Recently moved to Moore County, NC for work (military) and am looking to purchase a property with the intention to turn it into a buy and hold down the road. 

I personally waive application fees for prior military because I'm retired military myself and like to reward those that have served.

VA loans do require military service

But even if you are outside of the military you can still use your VA loan to buy a 2-4 unit property, with a low down payment, and rent out the other side...just no BAH after you become a civilian though.
