Sometimes though there seems to be a correlation because Drano often gets used when there is already a lot of wear-and-tear on the pipes and they are already quite thin.Some clog-removers are acidic and react with copper, but not Drano.

The system will react when it is over-gamed and Dodd-Frank Act is simply such a reaction for the system to survive.The real idea behind Dodd-Frank Act is just to deleverage the market further and to shift the risk (and potential profits) from end users to investors who are less protected by laws and are less likely to default strategically.
